Lately my creativity has been funneled into creating art projects for Tyler to do. One project started early in the morning before work. I was getting something out of an "off-limits" drawer and Tyler saw the glue. He was adamant about using the glue. So what do I do? Do I say "no?" No, silly me. I get out the glue stick, chop up a catalog into squares, give him a blank book and the glue stick. He starts collaging in the blank book and then collages on some paper, too. This weekend we got really adventurous and brought out the fabric paint. Tyler painted some fabric for Ann's birthday present. (I covered the carpet and table and put him in clothes he is about to grow out of first since the fabric paints will stain.) He had a ball. He'd probably have painted all day if we didn't have to stop to have lunch. We had some close calls with the fabric paint such as tipping over the water cup for cleaning the brushes, but nothing totally disastrous happened. Tonight Tyler was watching a PBS app show "Louie" which is an animated show about a bunny Louie who shows kids how to draw things. He decided he also needed to draw while watching the show and he drew a face! Pretty cool.
